Bethany School

Overview

Bethany School combines an idyllic rural location with easy accessibility. London is less than an hour away by train, Gatwick one hour by taxi and the Eurostar terminal 45 minutes. Bethany is a friendly dynamic community. Recent years have seen an enviable building programme, with the recent addition of a state of the art Science Centre and full refurbishment of the girls' boarding facilities including a new kitchen, new furniture and comfortable relaxation areas. Boarding at Bethany is seen as as a "home away from home". All students become part of their own Boarding House family which is home to about 25 boarders. Students leave Bethany with a mature self-confidence and clear direction.

Unique Points

At Bethany while the individual is encouraged and supported we still teach the importance of participating fully in a community. We aim to provide a high standard of personal care and encouragement to all students, within the setting of a Christian community.

Entry Requirements

Students for whom English is not their first language will be required to sit our Bethany EAL tests, which included age-related English and Maths papers. Students in Years 7-11 will also sit a non-verbal reasoning test. Fluency in spoken and written English must be sufficient to readily follow class instructions. School reports and references will be required.
